Misc. Spring

Sisters!

I bought the girls matching outfits, but Arabelle was not willing to wear hers and she picked out this little number instead.

Charlotte has named her stuffed cat "Meow".

I think one of the kids took this picture.  Charlotte likes eating gogurts frozen like a popsicle and then wrapped with a towel to prevent her hands getting cold.

I call this "Posing with Toast"

and again.

Off to school!

Somehow I pictured this photo turning out a lot better.  The elements were all there, but...

Arabelle Draws (and writes)

For the past couple of years, Arabelle has staunchly refused to wield a pencil or crayon of any kind.  I was impatient for her to start drawing already because I knew she could draw all kinds of amazing things if she would only put her mind to it.

It was worth the wait :)  (but so funny to compare it to Jeffrey's neat and precise little men that were the first things that he drew, at roughly the same age).

Arabelle also tends to mutilate her art after she completes it.  Sadly I did not get a picture of this before the big "X", but at least I got a picture before she cut it up.  This is a "pig girl with an ant body".  Strangely, I can see it.

A girl with a necklace and a beautiful dress.

Jeffrey told Arabelle that this one looked like a vampire, and she got very upset.  Evidently it was supposed to be a self-portrait.

When she finally agreed to put pen to paper, it has been amazing to see what has come out.  I knew she had memorized how to spell her name aloud, but I didn't realize that she actually knew how to form all the letters of her name (and the alphabet).

A Crabboplin?

Arabelle: The "R" and the "B" are thinking and thinking and thinking.  Me: Why is that? Arabelle: Because their heads are so big.

Joy School

Pictures from our home preschool or "Joy School".  We still call it Joy School even though it has degenerated into just Arabelle and Emery, it is just once a week, and we are no longer using the manuals.  Oh well, Arabelle really enjoys it, and it is good for me to have a reason to come up with fun crafts for the kiddos to do.  Plus I have saved the $ on preschool for one year.

The Pottery Barn Kids table mom bought has been indispensable and really added to the quality of preschool/arts and craft time.

"A" alligators.  I didn't get a pic of the finished product, but we added eyes, teeth, and lots of "a's" for the alligator to chomp.  We also sang lots of good alligator songs :)

Door signs.  The girls worked hard gluing all the black beans.
