Swetsville Zoo

The "Swetsville Zoo" is a place full of hundreds of metal sculptures made from junk parts.  The owner made them for fun and has opened his property up to the public.  This will also be a place we have to visit with the VanYperens.

Museum of Science and Discovery

The Children's Museum of Science and Discovery in Fort Collins has recently undergone a complete renovation/upgrade.  It is now on par with the quality of the Children's Museum in Fort Collins, but more geared toward Science/Technology.  For Spring break they had "Geek Week" with a different theme each day like super heroes, robots, and rockets.  I'm sure Jeffrey would have loved to have gone every day.  We went on rocket day.  The rocket they had available to be made was way above Jeffrey's age level, but they did have these Star Wars guys.

Arabelle was scared of them.

You design a run with the pipes and then have the balls go down them.

Tornado Simulator.  Arabelle was also scared of this.

Arabelle was a true natural at the drums.  I think that surprises about no one. She figured out the bass pedal on her own and her rhythm was strangely good.

They had a sound proof room with all kinds of instruments to play on.

During the entire trip Charlotte was mostly concerned with my bag and wanting me to wear it constantly.

One of the coolest things we did was see a "Dome Show".  It was a space-themed movie in a planetarium type theater.  It was really cool watching the space ships,  etc fly over you on the ceiling.  Sadly Arabelle and Charlotte only lasted about 15 minutes, I'm sure Jeffrey would have stayed for hours.  Jeffrey calls this museum the "robot museum" and has asked to go back just about every day.  In fact, as we were leaving the museum, he said, "I want to come here EVERY day!"  When the VanYperens come to visit, this will be first on our list of activities.

More Spring and Funny Kids

Uncle Phillip

"Wanna fight?"
My view most of the time. What color would you say her eyes are?

Arabelle dancing.

Arabelle's "curly hair" that she likes to wear sometimes.

Twins?

Late April snow storm.  We also had one beginning of May!

Cheerio on the Nose

Arabelle's "curly hair" and her "spider sweater".  Not sure why she calls it that.

This is what she was trying to feed her.  Notice all the dirt on Charlotte's face.

Spring 2013

Charlotte fixes herself a drink.

Charlotte has been walking for a few months now and she's constantly running around all over the place.

Arabelle finally agrees (now that it's finally the end of winter) to wear the matching winter outfits that I bought for the girls.

Arabelle shows disdain for Charlotte's headband.

Arabelle's "zany" face.

Arabelle picks her outfits with care each morning.  This is a swimsuit with built-in flotation, pajama pants, and 2 different shoes.

Arabelle makes beds for her dolls and stuffed animals all over the place and with whatever materials she finds handy.  It's cute to stumble across them and see what she has discovered to put to use.
